Thanks very much for registering to take the exam to qualify for the “Certified Destination Wedding, Honeymoon, and Romance Travel Specialist” professional designation!
Once we confirm your testing fee payment, Lisa Sheldon (DWHSA’s executive director) will follow up with you and give you the current web link and passcode you’ll need to take the exam. There is no deadline for using the link and passcode – you may take the exam whenever you’re ready! (And, your testing fee covers two attempts, so no worries if you need to retake the exam.)
Here’s the process we follow with the testing service to send you the web link and passcode:
- Every week – from Friday morning to the following Thursday evening – we gather that week’s exam registrations and submit them to the testing service for processing.
- Every Friday morning, the testing service sends us the unique web link and passcode for each agent who registered that past week for the exam. That same day, we’ll email you your unique web link and passcode.
So, we collect the registrations in one-week batches (Friday morning through Thursday evening) and submit each week’s batch to the testing service. Then, when the service sends us the links passcodes for each week’s batch, we email those to you the same day we receive them. Batching the exam registrations this way allowed DWHSA to cut $20 off the registration cost ($39, rather than $59) – we felt most members would prefer to save $20 and wait a few days before receiving their exam information!
Then, once you pass the exam, we’ll email you three items on the next Friday after you’ve passed: (a) an online certificate (Adobe PDF) that you may print out or add to your web site, (b) a press release you may customize and send to your local media, and (c) the official “Certified Destination Wedding, Honeymoon, and Romance Travel Specialist” logo you may use on your business cards, your web site, and anywhere you wish!
