Join us for this three-night workshop at the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites in Jamaica focused on social media! Led by Dawn Hartwell of The Business Therapists (left) and Brenda Llamas Young of Your Travel Biz Stylist (right), the bootcamp will give you firsthand knowledge of the leading social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn), blogging, marketing your business with these tools, photography hints, and recommendations for tying it all together. You’ll leave with a three-month plan to rock the social media marketing for your business as you head into 2018!
DWHSA thanks Iberostar Hotels & Resorts and the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority for being the exclusive sponsors of this bootcamp!
Dates: Nov. 2-5, 2017
Location: Iberostar Rose Hall Suites (Rose Hall, Jamaica)
Fee: US$349 – includes three nights all-inclusive lodging and two days of intensive bootcamp training sessions with materials (flights, transportation within Jamaica, and incidentals not included)
Trainers: Dawn is vice president and social marketing expert for The Business Therapists, a consulting firm offering “niche service” for small- to medium-sized companies that want to grow their market share through a strong, positive online presence. Brenda is a longtime romance travel specialist who’s branched out as a strategist who focuses on helping her fellow agents get off the marketing “hamster wheel” to focus on where you clients hang out online so you can find them and make more money!
Here’s the tentative schedule:
- Day 1 (Thursday): We’ll welcome you with a group dinner (and, we’ll collect your pre-workshop homework!).
- Day 2 (Friday): In the morning, we’ll create our social media marketing plans and work on improving our social media photography skills. After lunch, you’ll have two hours to focus on the social media activities you’ve been assigned – then, we’ll jump into three key topics: using Facebook Live, discovering which social media networks your clients prefer, and building and engaging your audience!
- Day 3 (Saturday): After breakfast, we’ll devote the morning to the “Big 4” networks: Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and LinkedIn. Then, we’ll dive into creating and maximizing your blog even though your time as a travel agent is limited! We’ll spend the afternoon digging down into troubleshooting your marketing activities on the “Big 4,” and we’ll dig down into some of the challenges you’re still facing on social media based on the answers you give us on a pre-workshop survey). Finally, we’ll wrap up with a two-hour session dedicated to bringing everything together – helping you create your social media/blogging content plan for the next 90 days after you return home!
- Day 4 (Sunday): Departures
To register for this workshop, please complete the form below with your USD$50 deposit (or full payment), and we will follow up with you shortly.
